How to Remove a Nissan Titan Gauge Cluster

Removing the gauge cluster from the Nissan Titan allows you to replace the bulbs used to light the cluster, replace a defective cluster or reach components behind the cluster. The cluster contains all the gauges needed to manage the engine in your Titan as well as the speedometer, tachometer and warning lights. While the individual gauges cannot be replaced separately, the entire cluster can be purchased at the dealer or a salvage yard if needed.

Remove the lower instrument panel from your Titan. It is attached with two screws on the lower edge that can be removed with a Phillips head screwdriver, and four clips behind the panel. The panel will pop out of the clips with a little persuasion and a flat head screwdriver.

Remove the upper and lower trim around the steering column. You will not be able to slide the cluster out unless you take these trim pieces off the column.

Remove cluster cover A, or the cluster trim bezel, from the dash. It is secured with clips and will snap out with a little work. There are several wiring harness connections on the back of this piece that need to be unplugged before removing the cluster cover from the truck.

Locate the four retaining screws for the gauge cluster and remove them with a Phillips head screwdriver. Slide the cluster forward and remove the electrical connector from the back of the cluster. Remove the cluster from the truck.
