How to Replace Brake Lights in a Nissan Sentra

It is common for brake lights to burn out, and it's very important to change your brake light as soon as you notice it has burnt out. Not changing your brake light in your Nissan Sentra is dangerous and can result in a traffic ticket. You can purchase a new brake light at your local auto part store, and replacing the bulb takes a few quick steps.

Open the trunk of the Nissan Sentra and locate the plastic cover that protects the bulb.

Remove the screws holding the plastic cover in place. Once all screws are removed, pull the plastic covering off the light housing.

Remove the appropriate bulb, you will have to push the bulb in and turn at the same time to release the bulb.

Line up the new bulb with the socket; push the bulb in while twisting at the same time to lock the bulb in place. Replace the plastic cover and tighten the screws to ensure it's secure.
