How to Replace a Nissan Maxima Blower Motor Relay

The blower motor relay routes power to the blower motor when you turn on the air conditioning or heater switch in your car. If the blower motor is not turning on in your Nissan Maxima or only one fan speed is working, you may have a faulty relay, which causes the motor to receive insufficient power. Buy a 15-amp relay from an auto parts store and replace it at home in minutes.
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
1

Sit in the driver's seat of your Nissan Maxima with the car turned off and the ignition key removed. Pull the cover from the fuse panel on the outer edge of the dashboard on the driver's side. The cover simply snaps into place, so you can easily pull it off.
2

Locate the blower motor relay in the fourth slot down on the far right side of the fuse panel. Pull the relay straight out of the fuse panel.
3

Insert a new relay by pushing it straight into the fuse panel. Replace the fuse panel cover by pushing it into place until it clicks.
