How to Replace Nissan Versa Cabin Air Filter

I owned an 07 Nissan Versa. A while back while doing regular service, the dealer told me my cabin air filter needs changing and its cost a whopping $90+ dollars. I decided that I would see if I can do it myself. There are some information online on how to do it, but picture are few. So I thought I might give my version to see if it helps someone down the line.

Removing the filter is the tricky part. If you look at the replacement part you notice the tab on top has a catch and an extension at the bottom which is hooked up. To remove the filer the top tab has to be pressed inward, pull the filter out and up to remove the bottom extension from its catch.

After you remove the filter, put in the replacement part. Take care to make sure the top loose filter is not caught by pressing it down slightly as you push it in
9

Place the bottom extension into its catch and click the top tab into place. Put the glove compartment into the space and connect back the light fixture. Put in the 8 screws and you are done.

Tips & Warnings

You might have to use a screwdriver to pry out the filter.

You might need to get creative to get into the compartment space to see or remove the filter. If you are not comfortable or find it difficult to remove the filter, go to a mechanic.
