It is important to keep your brakes in good working order so your car can stop properly. If you don't change your brakes, you will damage the brake discs, and steering system. So let's get started on changing the brakes on a Nissan Altima.
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
1

First jack up the car and remove the tire.
2

Inspect the brake discs to make sure they is no damage done to it.
3

Remove the brake caliper. To remove the brake caliper, remove the two long bolts that are holding it in place. Then you just remove the brake caliper from the brake disc. Put the brake caliper in a place that won't put tension on the brake line which can cause it to break.
4

Now the brake shoes are exposed. Remove these brake shoes. To remove the brake shoes, press the spring clips at the top and they will pop out.
5

Compare the new brake shoes with the old one to make sure you have the right part. Put the new brake pads on the caliper bridge.

Put the caliper brake back in place and tighten the bolts.
