How to Adjust Seats in a 2010 Nissan Altima Rental

Driving a specific rental car for the first time may take some adjustment, particularly if you are not familiar with the vehicle. If you have rented a 2010 Nissan Altima, you may want to adjust the seat to find the perfect driving position. Some 2010 Nissan Altimas have power-adjustable seats; however, most models come with seat that have to be adjusted manually.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
Adjust the Manual Seats
1

Locate the track adjustment bar. Sit down in the Altima's seat and get comfortable. Look under the front edge of the seat to find the metal bar. This is the track adjustment bar. It moves your seat back and forth.
2

Adjust the seat distance. Pull the metal adjustment bar up. While holding it in place, scoot the seat forward or backward. Find the ideal position. Release the bar to lock it into place.
3

Find the reclining lever on the left side of the seat.
4

Pull the lever up to adjust the seat back. Move your back forward or backward; the seat back will slide with you. Let go of the lever when your desired position is reached.
5

Adjust the seat height. Push the side bolster lever downward repeatedly to raise the seat. With each push downward, the seat will lift up. Lift the side bolster lever upward repeatedly to lower the seat height.
Adjust the Power Seats
1

Find the power seat control panel on the left side of the seat. You'll see two knobs: one for the bottom part of the seat and one for the seat back.
2

Push the bottom knob forward or backward to adjust the Altima's seat track position. You can scoot it forward or backward. To adjust the seat height, you'll also use this knob. Simply push the knob down to lower the seat; pull it up to raise the seat.
3

Push the seat back knob forward or backward to adjust the Altima's seat back.
