How to Install a Muffler on a Nissan Maxima

The muffler on the Nissan Maxima is mounted to the exhaust piping with two exhaust bolts. Over time, your muffler may need to be replaced if it begins to rust or if there is damage to the muffler caused by a rock or some other foreign object hitting it while driving. Replacement mufflers can be purchased from most auto parts stores or directly from a Nissan dealership parts center. Once you have the new muffler, you'll need to know how to properly install it. If you've never done this job before, it may take you 30 minutes.
