How to Remove a Nissan Frontier Headlight

The headlights in your Nissan Frontier can go out for many reasons. The bulb may be faulty or just worn out from years of use. Changing your headlight is a minor hassle, but it can prevent many other issues that could end up being even more of a problem. Not only is replacing a broken headlight legally required, it will make driving your Nissan Frontier at night much safer. This procedure is fairly easy and will only require a flat head screwdriver and maybe a wrench if you are removing the driver's side headlight.

1

Open the hood of the car and prop it up to access the engine compartment. Remove the cover from the truck's battery if you need to replace the driver's side headlight. Take out the plug that connects the battery to the truck then remove the battery from the engine compartment. This will open a panel to access the headlight. The panel for access to the left side does not require removal of the battery.
2

Remove the headlight panel by removing its mounting screws with a flat head screwdriver. Once you've opened this panel, you will see a plastic plug that goes from the truck into the headlight. Disconnect this plug from the vehicle.
3

Grasp the light bulb and unscrew it.
