How to Replace a Nissan Truck Tail Light

2007 Nissan Titan crewcab

Replacing the tail light in your Nissan truck is the same whether you have a Nissan Frontier or a Nissan Titan. The trucks have identical tail light mounting designs and use the same tail light bulb. It only takes a few minutes to replace your tail light bulb. Don't neglect to do it if yours is out.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need
Standard socket wrench
Replacement bulb 3057LL or 3057K
1

Turn the engine off and open the tailgate.
2

Locate the two bolts on the rear corner of the bed. Use a standard socket wrench to remove the bolts.
3

Grasp the exterior of the tail light assembly and pull it from the truck. Remove the plastic cover from the rear of the assembly.
4

Turn the tail light module counterclockwise to release it from the assembly, and then pull it out. Unhook the wiring harness from the tail light module.
5

Disconnect the old bulb and insert the new one. Reconnect the wiring harness and insert the module into the rear of the assembly. Twist it clockwise to lock it.
6

Place the tail light assembly back into its mount. Insert the bolts and tighten them.

Tips & Warnings

Be careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Dirt and oil from your hands can cause it to burn out. Make sure the bulb you purchase is the "LL" or "K" model. These bulbs are specifically designed for frequent usage, a must with your tail light.
