How to Adjust Nissan Titan Headlights

The Nissan Titan is built for hauling and has plenty of aftermarket options that affect the height and pitch of the cabin. But whenever you install one of these options or put a heavy load in the truck, you change the direction of the headlight beams. If you find that your beams are pointed too sharply toward the ground to see ahead or so high that they blind oncoming drivers, you may need to make some adjustments before you hit the road.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
1

Pull the Titan up to a flat vertical wall with plenty of room behind it. Make sure the front end is facing the wall head-on. Straighten out the wheels so that you can back up in a straight line.
2

Back up until the front grill of the Titan is about 25 feet from the wall. Put the truck in Park, turn on the headlights, pop the hood and leave the engine running.
3

Prop the hood open and locate the headlight adjustment screw on each headlight assembly. The headlight adjustment screw is round and made of black plastic, and it is located along the top of the rear side of each headlight assembly. It is just to the right of the center of the left headlight assembly, and just to the left of the center of the right headlight assembly.
4

Turn one of the knobs while focusing on the beam of light on the wall. Adjust it up or down according to your needs.
5

Turn the other knob until the other headlight's beam is even with the first one.
6

Close the hood.

Tips & Warnings

The official owner's manual for the Nissan Titan recommends that you take your truck to an authorized service center for this adjustment.
